Cheryl Hailstone completed a 5 year study
program from the Ontario College of Art and Design and was one of the
selected students for a travelling scholarship during her graduating year
when she majored in drawing and painting. She completed courses in Interior
Design Elements and In-depth Colour Theory at Seneca College. Cheryl has a
extensive background teaching art for the Toronto District School Board
Continuing Education Department as well as the city of Toronto Community
Programs. She has spent over 10 years supervising art and craft programs for
Toronto Community Services. During this period she successfully initiated
and won many trophies and awards. As a Program Supervisor, she has exhibited
in private and group exhibitions in Canada. Cheryl’s work is on view in private collections as well as corporate ones and displayed in the Toronto Sun Building as well as Metro Toronto Community Services Buildings. As a portrait artist she has completed many portrait commissions. Cheryl enjoys sharing her creative energy with her students and feels art is liberating-inspiring the beginner as well as the advanced.
