Cathy was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, and has lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Beverley Hills, California, and the Greater Toronto Area where she now resides.

She attended St. Mary’s University in Halifax and Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo where principal studies included Archeology, Anthropology, Classical Hebrew and Fine Arts. She has studied and painted under the mentorship of respected artists  Alan Wylie, Halifax, Nova Scotia;  Michel Manson, Art Director-Teacher, Wilfrid Laurier University and  Mary Theresa Carmichael, Toronto.

In addition, Cathy has attended numerous workshops conducted by popular and respected artists including Jack Reid (Mississauga),  Dominic DisStefano (Pennsylvnia, U.S.),  Robert J. Callaghan (Toronto), Philippa Faulkner (Toronto), Yoshiko Sumahara (Markham), Marianne Bloome (King City) and Donnah Cameron (Newmarket)

Cathy works in the media of watercolour, acrylic, oil, charcoal and pastel with a wide variety of subject matter including commissions in portraiture of people and pets throughout Southern Ontario.

She is also an accomplished stained glass artisan, having designed and built stained glass windows, lamps and art objects for numerous clients.
