Formerly from Montreal, Rosie majored in art and psychology at McGill University. She moved to Toronto in July 1978 to pursue a career in her other passion, which was travel. Through her work with a major Airline and as a Tour Escort she had the opportunity to see most of the world before she turned 30.

In 1986 she married her husband David, moved to Thornhill, and had one son named Matthew. The need to express her creative energy resulted in her return to school to embark on a career in Interior Design. Rosie started Decorating Dreams in 1992, which has given her continuing opportunity to blend form, colour, texture and design. Her favorite task has always been accessorizing - choosing the right art and other important details to complete a room.

Rosie began painting in earnest, when due to an illness, she stayed at home to convalesce. Creative energy is a wonderful healer and an avenue to focus on staying positive. It was also an opportunity to personalize the beauty of colour she wanted in her own home. After a number of varied courses in watercolour, pastels and acrylic she chose acrylic as her favorite medium. She loves painting florals, landscapes, woman and her own form of whimsical art., always in bold and bright colours. As her work progressed she began to show and sell her paintings to clients and friends. Her most recent show was at Grazie restaurant in Toronto.

Rosie readily admits that painting often becomes and obsessive passion, consuming all of her energy and thoughts until a piece is done. Each piece holds a special place in her heart because of the pure joy of its creation. The art of painting and the blending of colours have a soothing effect on her soul. She is thrilled to know that her art has brought happiness and pleasure to those who have acquired it for their own homes.
