Born is Cheshire, England, I always remember being able to paint and draw. My first painting was a small 4" x 6" watercolour of a sailboat, at the age of 16. I married and came to Canada at the age of 22. For the next 30 years I painted very little. In 1996 I remarried and spent the winter months in Florida where I took classes at the Dunedin Fine Art School. |

I started with watercolours and basic drawing, followed by coloured pencil. I progressed to soft pastels, receiving a 2nd place ribbon from the American Pastel Society for a still life "Plate of Fruit". Returning to live in Toronto in 2005, I took up oil painting with Vladimir Ribatchok, doing landscapes and portraits. My passion is pet portraits in pastel and oil.
